About Canidae

Canidae is another dog food company that is family-owned. Knowing they came from humble beginnings by delivering their first batch of pet food from the back of their pick-up trucks really makes this a relatable company.

They started by working hard and dedicated their efforts to make great pet food since 1996. Over the years, Canidae has become increasingly more involved in growing the ingredients they use in every recipe. They have a pet nutrition facility in Texas that is state of the art and works to put your pet’s safety first.

Each of the recipes has its own AAFCO (The Association of American Feed Control Officials) nutrient profile.

The rankings are G – Growth, M-Maintenance, A-All Life Stages, S-Supplemental, U-Unspecified.

The rankings are more for consideration. For a more accurate diagnosis on which is best for your pet, consult your trusted veterinarian. Some of the Canidae dog food recipes do not all have nutrients recognized by the AAFCO nutrient profiles and are listed for your reference only. Please refer to their website for more details.
